Sir Tom Jones has sparked concern among fans after his latest social media post. The Welsh singer and coach from The Voice, who has just marked his 85th birthday, is gearing up for his latest tour around the UK and Europe.

Kicking off this leg of his tour with a spellbinding show at the monumental Hampton Court Palace, he wowed attendees with his robust singing and magnetic stage presence. While fans praised Sir Tom’s performance, some voiced their anxiety about his health.

In a touching caption attached to his Instagram post, he expressed gratitude, stating: “Thank you to everyone who came to our @hcpfestival show last night to kick off our tour in style!”

Another shared their best wishes while questioning his touring schedule: “Again, congratulations on your 85th birthday. I love you and the boys. Don’t understand why you need to tour so much.”

Their advice continued, highlighting the physical demands: “It’s so taxing even on your hips, your knees, your feet. Stay home and enjoy life in London. You worked hard enough.”

Others lent their voices in support, with another saying, “Hi Tom, I hope you are doing well. Take care,” while yet another advised, “Love Sir Tom, take it easy on your tour.”

A fifth said: “Good to see you, Sir Tom. Stay strong and healthy.”

These concerns aren’t new; the Welsh star faced similar concerns from his audience when he announced the tour agenda in January, after wrapping up the North American leg earlier this spring.

During an intimate chat with fellow The Voice UK judge Will.i.am, Sir Tom opened up about his love for music and his much-loved voice.

Will.i.am, clearly impressed by Sir Tom’s relentless vigour and dedication to his artistry, said: “To see you here, still being that inspiration and still being active, is just mind-boggling.”

In response, the ‘Sex Bomb’ singer shared openly, reflecting on his surprise at still being able to give vigorous performances.

“It is to me as well,” he said. “As the years go on, you think, ‘How long is this voice going to last?’ I’m on stage and I open up and there it is and I think ‘Is that voice coming from me?’ and that’s the God’s honest truth, you know. I’m 84 this year.”
